Yahdeen Essence

Born on May 7th   in the vibrant parish of St Ann, Jamaica, Nadine Mckenzie known artistically  as Yahdeen essence, discovered her love for music at a tender age. She began singing as a child and wrote her very first song at just 9 years old. By the age of 15 she graced the stage for her first live performance, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey in music.

 

Growing up Yahdeen Essence proformed at varios shows in a around her community , steadily building her confidence and fan base. Her talent led her to enter several competitions where she quickly stood out. Notably, she was among the top 10 finalists in the jamaica 40th Anniversary competition, a national recognition of her musical gift.

 

She continues to make waves in the local music scene, earning second place in the JCDC Big Stage competition and taking home the award for best Lyrics, a testament to her powerful songwriting skills.

 

Influenced by her cultural roots, life experiences and spiritual convictions, Yahdeen Essence creates music that uplifts, inspires and speaks truth. Her sound blends reggae, soul and roots music with messages of empowerment,love and resilience . Every performance is an offering raw, real and full of passion.

 

Today ,Yahdeen Essence continúes to write,perform and share her message with audiences both locally and internationally, with a heart full of purpose and a voice that resonates with authenticity ,  she remains committed to use her gift to make a positive impact through music.
