ABOUT

SEMOJRAH NAKI

Jefferey Wayne Donald, professionally known as Semojrah Naki, is an award-winning Canadian
reggae artist whose name translates to "Enlightened Warrior.

" Born in Jamaica, Naki's musical journey is deeply intertwined with his spiritual path. In 1999, he embraced "Emmanuel’s Calling" and became a devoted member of the Bobo Shanti order of Rastafarianism, dedicating his life to
spreading messages of positivity, social consciousness, and empowerment.

Naki first recognized his musical talent during his time at Jamaica College, where he saw music
as a powerful tool for inspiring and uplifting youth. Influenced by mentors Jermaine "Grant Tur"
McCarthy and Ryan "Merciless" Wilman, he honed his craft and committed himself to delivering
reggae music with a purpose. His dedication was recognized in 2016 when he was honored with
the "Male Artist of the Year" Peabo Award, celebrating his contribution to both music and
community development.

Despite being based in Canada, Naki remains deeply connected to his Jamaican roots. His
collaborations with reggae veterans Michigan, Chaka Demus, and The Cotton Pikkers showcase
his ability to bridge generations of reggae artistry. In 2017, he released the critically acclaimed
EP "Warriors Don't Cry," featuring the standout track "Jah Will Never Let Us Down"—a

collaboration with the legendary Miguel "Sizzla" Collins. The partnership was a dream come true
for Naki, who traveled to Jamaica to work alongside Sizzla, earning his respect and praise for the
powerful production.

As he continues his musical evolution, Semojrah Naki is set to release a brand-new single within
the next two months, giving fans a fresh dose of his signature conscious reggae sound.
Additionally, he is currently working on an EP, which is expected to be released before the end
of 2025. These upcoming projects further cement his commitment to spreading messages of
spiritual growth, resilience, and social justice. A passionate advocate for youth empowerment, spirituality, and social justice, Semojrah Naki continues to use his music as a force for change. His mission is to uplift and inspire through
reggae, shedding light on the struggles of the underprivileged while encouraging resilience and
self-determination."If my music has a positive effect on just one person, I am satisfied.
